Mizunara Japanese oak
The Japanese Mizunara oak is the most exclusive oak species for making barrels. The reason is that the fine hardwood is harder to work with than other oak and availability cannot always be guaranteed. The excellent aroma is especially popular with whisky distilleries.

Roundness, sweetness, complexity. Flavor notes: coconut, caramel, vanilla, honey, coffee, chocolate, brown sugar, spices and roasted walnuts.

Roundness, powerful aromas. Flavor notes: caramel, coffee, spices, vanilla, roasted almonds, wood, smoke.
Heavy
Powerful aromas, acceleration of the maturation process. Flavor notes: vanilla, brown sugar.
